Just a couple quick things I’d like to conclude after sitting on my couch sipping my coffee:
1.  I’ll borrow this one from ESPNs Stuart Scott:  The Celtics & Lakers have combined to win more than half of the total amount of NBA Championships played (33 of 63).  Celtics of course have the most, with 17.
2. The Pro Bowl is a joke.  It’s even worse that it comes before the Super Bowl this year.  That way, the best players can’t even play.  That’s awesome, way to go Roger Goodell.

Spartans to Face Tar Heels for NCAA Championship

Michigan State’s fairy tale run continues.  The Spartans upset no. 1 seed UConn to advance to the NCAA championship game against the Tar Heels of North Carolina.  These guys might not play the prettiest game in the tournament, but would you care if you were a player, coach, or fan in that organization and you’ve made it this far?  No, of course not.  These guys are getting it done, and they must be doing something right if they’re playing for the right to be crowned the best college team in …

Apparently EVERYBODY and their mothers wanted Jay Cutler just a few weeks back when the whole saga about him being involved in a three-way trade with Matt Cassel came to light.  But we’re just finding out now that Minnesota was interested in Cutler as well.  It’s getting pretty ridiculous.  Who really care what teams wanted Jay Cutler 4 weeks ago.  Let’s talk about now.

The BCS. And Congress?

Alright seriously.  Aren’t we in one of the worst economic situations of this country’s history?  Correct me if I’m wrong, Barack Obama is now on TV talking about the economy each week more times than there are Major League Baseball games in a week.  That’s probably around 200 times.  So yes, I’m right, we’re in a terrible economic situation.  But get this, Congress is now bored with steroids.  So where else can they stick their nose into sport and get some publicity?  Congress is interested in the BCS.
