Liverpool have proven themselves to be among the top 5 clubs in Europe, no doubt about it.   These guys are putting on a clinic.  Yeah so what United got a red card in that 4-1 thumping, but that’s part of the game.  Who’s going to argue that Vidic DID NOT deserve that red?  Last man, pulled down Gerard, absolutely a red card no questions asked.  Benitez expecting a perfect finish from his boys, and I’m predicting the same.

Liverpool have defeated two top class European teams in Real Madrid (twice:  1-0 and 4-0) and Manchester United, both of which they scored four goals against.  Let’s add that they defeated a team that was just 2 positions lower than them in the EPL table and only 9 points behind, still within reach by a score of 5-0.  I mean we’re talking about four intense, hard match-ups easily handled by the Reds.

The bottom line is that Liverpool has momentum heading into the final stretch of the title race.  And they’ll look to keep that going against Fulham on Saturday April 4th.
